Constructed on a tufa rock, Orvieto is an example of nature and human work. It has a 13th century cathedral known for its frescos. The city of Assisi is located on the slopes of the Subasio mount and has been constructed with the white and pink stones from it. The city of Saint Francois and Sainte Claire is a large religious centre and place of pilgrimage. Todi, protected by Etruscan walls on the outside and medieval on the inside, marks out by its beauty. It has one of the most beautiful squares of Italy, the Piazza del Popolo, surrounded by magnificent building.
